The handmade timepieces produced by the mastercraftsmen and women at Glashütte Original in South-East Germany are, as yet, somewhat unknown to the wider public, but have long been cherished among afficionados as being up amongst the very finest of watchmakers.
This is a true connoiseurs' brand, and when one takes the time to consider the level of complication involved in the production of each piece, from the decentralised layout of functions to the pure artistry of the hand-engraved components on view, it is not hard to understand why.
